I talked to former Nascar driver Hermie Sadler about his campaign for the state senate in District 17. Sadler talks about priorities and what he would do in the Senate. He also talks about why he believes voters should choose him as the Republican nominee in SD-17.
State Del. Emily Brewer is also seeking the nomination. Democratic Del. Clint Jenkins is the only Democratic candidate in the race right now.
This district will be important for both parties as control of the chamber will come down to a few tight races. According to an analysis from VPAP, Glenn Youngkin won this district by five points during 2021’s gubernatorial election.
