This morning I talked with Richard Meagher, a political science professor at Randolph Macon College about the midterm results and what that might mean for Virginia's political landscape moving forward.
We discussed the election results, Chase v. Anderson, Youngkin v. Trump, the pushback from Earle-Sears against Trump, and abortion’s impact on races like Spanberger v. Vega. Meagher also told me which party he would prefer to be moving into the General Assembly’s next election in November.

As Trump gears for a special announcement next week, he sent out a message on Friday making fun of Virginia’s governor. State Sen. Amanda Chase called the Lieutenant Governor a “Weak ass Republican” after Sears said Republicans should turn from Trump.
