Youngkin’s budget proposal

Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced 233 proposed amendments to the General Assembly’s budget. Legislators return on April 17 to vote on all of the amendments and potentially override any vetoes.

The governor held a press conference Monday afternoon to highlight some of the amendments. He calls it a “Common Ground” budget to emphasize the compromises needed with a Democratic General Assembly.
