VMSDEP Pt. 2 for the Senate
The state Senate is convening this afternoon at 2 p.m. to discuss VMSDEP again. However, a floor calendar has not yet been uploaded to LIS, and multiple sources from the Senate say there appears to be no consensus or plan for how today will go at this time.
The House unanimously passed a full repeal of the new budget language that would remove funding from the VMSDEP program, but sources say the Senate will not likely move forward with the House bill.
These things can move quickly, however, so stay tuned later for an update on what is happening.
