The race for VA-04
The race to replace Donald McEachin in the House of Representatives has gone from 0-100 with Democrats looking to earn the nomination in a seat they should win easily for the next 10 years. Democrats will choose their nominee in a firehouse primary next Tuesday, December 20.
State Del. Lamont Bagby, state Sen. Jennifer McClellan, and state Sen. Joe Morrissey all announced this week that they are seeking the Democratic nomination. Former Del. Joe Preston has also filed to run in VA-04.
McEachin won this district with 65% of the vote last month.
