Harris says Trump’s healthcare plans would hurt Virginia
The campaign for Kamala Harris released an attack on Donald Trump today that says his ideas for healthcare would take away coverage from nearly 1 million Virginians.
Over 1 million would be stripped of their health insurance with costs increasing.
In Virginia, nearly 400,000 people would have to pay more under Trump’s plans, with a middle-class family facing premiums over $9,000 more.
More than 3.5 million people with preexisting conditions in Virginia could be denied health care coverage or charged thousands of dollars more under the Trump-Vance plan for high-risk pools.
The Trump-Vance plan would roll back the Biden-Harris administration’s work to cap the price of insulin at $35 for seniors, cap the price of out-of-pocket drugs and negotiate with Medicare, would increase costs for more than 1.1 million Virginia seniors.
In Virginia, the report finds that Trump’s plans would impact 4.4 million women and 1.73 million women of reproductive age.
