Virginians have mixed opinions on the direction of Virginia and the nation; Approval ratings stable for Youngkin and Biden; Virginians weigh in on Trump indictments and GOP presidential nominees with Youngkin included
The latest polling from Roanoke College shows a stable approval rating for Gov. Glenn Youngkin and President Joe Biden by Virginians. Youngkin’s numbers on running for president are not very promising, however. Trump still holds a commanding lead over other Republicans seeking the nomination.
As for issues being discussed in the 2023 elections, abortion access is still wildly popular — but a slight drop in support for complete access and an increase in only some access might show Republican messaging could be working. Although, the numbers seem to have only reverted back to before Roe was overturned.
