Sturtevant defends Trump voters and criticized Biden Sunday morning
SD-12 candidate Glen Sturtevant (R) defended people who voted for Donald Trump in comments made Sunday morning. The statement from Sturtevant comes after President Joe Biden gave a speech criticizing Trump and his supporters who threaten democracy.
“Equality and democracy are under assault,” Biden said in his speech. “We must be honest with each other and with ourselves. Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”
Sturtevant accused the president of being divisive.
