Some Republican committees drop rules and encourage supporters to participate in Democratic primaries across the commonwealth
Republicans across the Commonwealth are encouraging their supporters to participate in competitive Democratic primaries. One Republican official says the normal party rules against voting in the other party’s primary will be waived and another committee is advertising specific Democrats to support. Not to be outdone, a Democrat in Central Virginia is now specifically courting Republican votes in the final days of his primary.
