Student loan forgiveness continues to be a prominent topic in political discourse after President Biden announced his plans Wednesday to offer some relief to Americans who are federal loan borrowers.
Congressional Democrats in competitive Virginia districts have yet to really comment on the announcement. Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D) is facing a challenge from Republican Yesli Vega in November. Vega accused Biden of trying to bribe voters during an election year.
