Police storm pro-Palestine protest at VCU
Law enforcement stormed a pro-Palestine protest that is taking place on VCU’s Monroe Park campus Monday night.
The protesters were in place all day, painting signs and setting up tents on the grassy area outside of the library.
After the sun went down, VCU police officers arrived in a bus and formed a wall with riot shields in front of the protesters.
The police officers eventually approached the protesters, who then began to throw items at the line of riot shields.
Pepper spray was deployed on protesters, and people were seen being detained.
