Attorney General Mark Herring releases new TV ad
“With an unparalleled track record of progressive victories over the past seven years and a bold approach to addressing systemic racism, consumer protection, immigrant rights, and gender and LGBTQ equality, there’s no secret why we have the support of so many voters across the commonwealth,” said Farah Melendez, Herring for Attorney General Campaign Manager. “We are putting significant resources behind the Attorney General’s record to remind Democratic voters that he’s pushed the envelope to expand and protect people’s rights since his very first day on the job.”
Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA01) Urges Biden Administration to Support Israel, Not Re-enter the Iran Nuclear Deal
“It is no secret that Iran is one of the primary sponsors of Hamas, and while Iran has not pulled the trigger on the recent violence themselves, they have loaded the gun. By considering a return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, President Biden sends Iran and its proxies the wrong message,” said Congressman Wittman. “Instead of standing alongside our ally, Israel, President Biden considers not only taking pressure off Iran but providing them with billions of dollars in sanctions relief. Iran could then use these billions of dollars to fund Hamas, a designated terrorist organization, even as they attack our ally and attempt to escalate conflict between Israel and Palestine. The longer President Biden considers this weak and misguided course of action, the more it emboldens terrorists in the region, thereby placing Israeli and Palestinian civilian lives in greater danger. We cannot allow Iran to continue funding terrorism, especially against the United States and our allies. If we wish for peace in the region, we must continue to exert maximum pressure on Iran in order to force them to negotiate a workable agreement in good faith.”

by Jack Moore
Beyond the high-profile primary contests for Virginia governor and other statewide offices, candidates seeking their party’s nod for Virginia’s House of Delegates seats are also on the ballot. Two years after Democrats won control of the chamber for the first time in more than two decades, there is an unusually high number of Democratic incumbents facing challenges from within their own party.
Across the state, voters will weigh in on 14 Democratic delegates who are facing primary challenges. That’s more than three times higher than the number of Democratic incumbents who faced primary opponents in 2019 or 2017.
