New polling shows a tight race for control of the General Assembly
A new statewide survey from the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington asked Virginians about top issues ahead of the November general election. All 140 legislative seats in the General Assembly are up for election.
The results of the poll show that both parties are getting their messages out to the base on top issues — parental rights for Republicans and abortion access for Democrats.
The 1,000-person poll of Virginia adults, which includes 771 likely voters. was administered by Research America Inc. between Sept. 5-11.
