The Chair of the Tenth Congressional District Republican Committee announced a run for state Senate in Jill Vogel’s district.
Convirs-Fowler says she plans to run for the state Senate next year. She clarified after publication to say that she has not made a final decision, after saying she plans to run in a previous statement to Virginia Scope.
Del. Rasoul filed a bill that would allow 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in local elections.
Deeds v. Hudson
Del. Sally Hudson (D-Charlottesville) is challenging state Sen. Creigh Deeds (D-Bath) for the Democratic nomination in the newly drawn state Senate district 11. Hudson was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2019.
