Friction among Republicans over Gourmeltz
Governor Glenn Youngkin announced a new executive order Tuesday that instructs the state’s enforcement agencies, boards, and commissions to report all fines, fees, and suspensions related to COVID-19 shutdown violations. This comes just a few days after Republican state Senate candidate Matt Strickland criticized the governor for not helping him when law enforcement raided his business in Fredericksburg. Strickland continued his criticism of Youngkin and Attorney General Jason Miyares after the new order was announced Tuesday.
