Fair Election Fund launches ad thanking Youngkin administration for letting Cornel West on ballot
The Fair Election Fund, a national election integrity watchdog group led by Doug Collins, a Republican who served in Congress from 2019 to 2021, released a new TV ad Monday thanking Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration and Attorney General Jason Miyares after the Virginia Department of Elections Friday reversed their previous stance and allowed Cornel West to appear on Virginia ballots in November.
The Fair Election Fund spent over $375,000 on a paid media campaign in North Carolina after Democrats on the North Carolina State Board of Elections voted to block Cornel West from the ballot.
The Board of Elections decision was eventually overturned by the Eastern District Court of North Carolina and West will be on the ballot.
