Youngkin reached out to Maryland
Gov. Glenn Youngkin says that he spoke with Maryland’s governor to offer any assistance needed in Baltimore after a container ship struck and tore down the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
“I have spoken with Gov. Wes Moore this morning, and Virginia stands ready to assist and support our neighbor Maryland,” Youngkin said Tuesday morning. “Our prayers are with the families affected and the courageous rescue efforts underway following the tragic incident at Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge.”
Dueling tours
The Virginia House and Senate Democratic Caucuses are currently conducting a “Virginia Families First Tour” across the commonwealth to discuss the budget they sent to Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
Youngkin is also doing his own tour to discuss his problems with the Democratic budget.
